About The Design

The project tasked me with designing an advertising campaign for a cause that resonates with us personally, and I chose to shed light on a relatively unfamiliar yet significant subject: green burial. Recognizing the inherent taboo surrounding this matter, especially in Western society, I chose to address this challenge using a touch of humor through a play on common idioms. This approach acted as a vehicle to engage with a difficult topic while introducing a lighter perspective.

In my strategic design, I drew inspiration from the campaign's intended audience—individuals aged 45 and above who are contemplating after-life care. To create a visual identity, I sought a nostalgic tone reminiscent of classic 1980s advertising, a style that would likely resonate with the target demographic. The overarching goal was to initiate a conversation on this vital subject while also raising awareness about the environmental detriments caused by traditional burial practices.
