Elder’s Bookstore

Historical Bookstore

Rebranding

About The Design

Elder's Bookstore is a Nashville-based bookstore that has earned its acclaim for its impressive dedication to historical literature. There were two objectives to this redesign: to reinforce Elder's Bookstore's position as one of the longest-standing family-owned retail businesses in Nashville, and to highlight their assortment of historical literature. Recognizing the value of Elder's Bookstore as both a significant historical landmark in Nashville and as a valuable source of antique books, my logo exploration sought to embrace traditional writing methods. I experimented with imagery inspired by feathers, quills, pen nibs, and books to evoke the essence of the store. The logo utilizes a sans-serif typeface and a minimalist-style illustration to maintain a contemporary touch while preserving the bookstore's historical charm.

Zeagle

Scuba Diving Gear

About The Design

Adrian Zeagle grew up along the coastlines of New Zealand, always close to marine life as his parents studied marine biology. From an early age, he developed a passion for the ocean and all the mysteries that existed below the water. When he met his girlfriend in college, they realized that they shared a similar passion for marine life. However, when Zeagle wanted to introduce Lynn to his passion for scuba diving, they quickly discovered that the market for beginner scuba divers was overwhelming and intense. They partnered together in a mission to provide divers with gear that could be trusted by beginner divers and hobbyists, but also reflected the spirit of adventure that fueled the underwater community. However, after almost 13 years in business, Zeagle wants to elevate their brand to cater to a more professional consumer base, specifically professional rescue divers.

Bombay Dyeing

Home Goods & Linens

About The Design

Established in 1890, Arjun Kapoor anticipated the inevitable demand for industrial dyeing in his home country of India. Bombay Dyeing quickly gained recognition for its commitment to quality dyes and innovative weaving techniques. Inspired by the vibrant tapestry of Bombay and the traditions of craftsmanship, Arjun harbored a dream to create a textile brand that seamlessly blended tradition with modernity. He understood the importance of personal involvement in the manufacturing process, so he ensured that each Bombay Dyeing product carried a stamp of excellence. Nowadays, Bombay Dyeing has created a reputation for their high quality, vibrant textiles. However, their current chairman Sima Anandi wants to adapt to modern sensibilities and create a brand that is still viewed as high-quality and reliable, but environmentally conscious.
